Abstract Amal field is a hydrocarbon oil and gas producing field in the southern offshore province of the Gulf of Suez rift. The main objectives of this thesis are the delineation of structural architecture and study the evolution of Amal field area, in order to construct a robust geological model for the sub-salt producing reservoirs of Lower to Middle Miocene age that are represented by the Rudeis and Kareem formations. The main challenge in the field area is the bad quality of the seismic data resulting from the big thickness of Late Miocene salt bulge above the concerned reservoirs; this hinders the construction of a subsurface geological model. As well, many geological and engineering challenges have been recognized along the production life of the field related to the reservoirs geometry and connectivity. To achieve the main objectives of this thesis and overcome the challenges, the integration between all available geological, geophysical and engineering data has been conducted through an incorporated workflow |
