Abstract In this work, clay-polyaniline polyfiber nanocomposite (MT-PANI{u2013}NF) was developed by chemical oxidative polymerization method and used for modification of three carbon paste electrodes as an electroactive material in absence or presence of graphene content to determine clomipramine hydrochloride (CLO-HCl) in pure form and pharmaceutical preparation. The electrodes were characterized and investigated with respect to the experimental parameters affecting their performance including temperature, pH, response time and interference. The electrodes showed good selectivity to CLO-HCl with respect to the interfering ions and inorganic cations. Determination of clomipramine hydrochloride in both pure and pharmaceutical form were performed using calibration and standard addition methods. Validation parameters such as accuracy, precision, linearity, specificity, limit of detection and limit of quantification were achieved. The obtained results were in a good agreement with those obtained by the reported method |
