Abstract This in vivo study was carried out to compare teeth sensitivity using bleaching protocol with descending different light intensities (Philips Zoom! {u2122}White Speed whitening gel and lamp, Discus Dental, LLC., Ontario, CA, 91761 USA) versus bleaching protocol with the same high light intensity (Philips Zoom!{u2122} Advanced Power whitening gel and lamp, Discus Dental, LLC., Ontario, CA, 91761 USA)each protocol followed manufacturer instructions and recommendations. Study design was randomized clinical trial. It was conducted in the Outpatient clinic of department of Restorative Dentistry - British University in Egypt. Sample size was twenty four patients. Each group consisted of twelve patients. group I patients received bleaching protocol of descending different light intensities (Philips Zoom! {u2122}White Speed whitening gel and lamp, Discus Dental, LLC., Ontario, CA, 91761 USA), group II patients received bleaching protocol with the same high light intensity (Philips Zoom! {u2122} Advanced Power whitening gel and lamp, Discus Dental, LLC., Ontario, CA, 91761 USA) both groups used the same home bleaching gel kit :(Philips Zoom NiteWhite 22% Carbamide Peroxide) for seven days according to manufacture instructions and protocol . The teeth were scaled and polished. Upper and lower alginate were poured to fabricate two bleaching tray pairs, one pair for home bleaching gel kit use, and the second holed pair used for standardization of tooth shade registration at baseline and post bleaching records.
