Abstract

This Thesis studies and publishes religious spells written on the lids of the wooden coffins of Wsir PA aany. The cult of the deity Wsir PA aany and his role in Tuna el-Gebel Necropolis as well. The study was divided into an introduction, a preface, and four chapters. Results of this study will be given in the conclusion. A palaeographical study is done at the end of the work. Introduction; It contains the reasons for choosing the subject of the study, its objectives, and previous studies, difficulties encountered by the researcher, research methodology and finally brief information on the worship of animals. Preface; It includes historical overview of the site of Tuna el-Gebel, then it covers the types of coffins of Wsir PA aany and the types of texts inscribed on them. First Chapter;The Chapter covered the name and Forms of the deity Wsir PA aany then displayed the monuments and places of his worship; which gives us more information about religious role of the minor deity of Tuna El-Gebel. Second Chapter; It contains facsimiles, full transcription, transliteration, translation and full comments of Spell 368 of the Pyramid Texts written on wooden coffins of Wsir P3-aany. Third Chapter; It contains facsimiles, full transcription, transliteration, translation and full comments of Spell 72 of the Book of the Dead written on wooden coffins of wsir P3-aany. Fourth Chapter; It contains facsimiles, full transcription, transliteration, translation and full comments of Spell 42 of the Book of the Dead written on wooden coffins of Wsir P3-aany
