Abstract Different advanced analytical methods for the determination of some drugs, in their pharmaceutical mixtures or in the presence of their degradation products were introduced in this thesis. These drugs are aspirin, atorvastatin calcium, bambuterol HCl, betaxolol HCl, caspofungin acetate, cilostazol, clopidogrel bisulphate, folic acid, formoterol fumerate, hydrocortisone acetate, olodaterol HCl, terbinafine HCl, tinidazole, tioconazole, tiotropium bromide and vinpocetine. Analytical methods cited in this thesis include; comparative studies for determination of some drugs in the presence of their related impurities using UPLC-DAD and HPLC-UV methods. Moreover, the thesis takes in consideration estimation of some drugs in pharmaceutical mixtures and in the presence of their degradation products using RP-HPLC with their characterization chemically using LC-MS spectrometry, 1H-NMR as well as FTIR. A complete forced degradation study for some drugs, are discussed in this thesis, as well as kinetic studies for hydrolysis of some drugs either in oxidative or alkaline conditions using RP-HPLC were established. Statistical comparisons between the results obtained by the proposed methods and reference methods were carried out |
