Abstract

Pathogenic microorganisms cause diseases to the eyes because of their virulence and host- reduced resistance .This is due to many factors such as personal hygiene, living conditions, socio-economic status and age. Silver nanoparticles are emerging as one of the fastest growing product categories in the nanotechnology industry. Silver nanoparticles as an example of arch products from the field of nanotechnology, has gained interest since they show good antibacterial properties due to their large surface area to volume ratio. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial effect of different concentration of silver nanoparticles against isolated microorganisms from eye infected patients
