Abstract This thesis includes five parts: Part Ї: General introduction and literature review Part ЇЇ: Spectrophotometric methods for simultaneous determination of Avobenzone and Octinoxate in a mixture. This part includes four sections 1- Derivative spectrophotometry technique which involves two methods -First derivative spectrophotometry -First derivative of ratio spectra spectrophotometry 2- Ratio difference spectrophotometry. 3- Mean Centering Spectrophotometry 4- Modified Vierordt{u2019}s method Part ЇЇЇ: Chemometric methods for simultaneous determination of Avobenzone and Octinoxate in a mixture. Part ЇV: chromatographic techniques, this part includes two sections Section A. Thin Layer chromatographic Methods A.1. TLC{u2013} densitometric method for determination of Imidazolidinyl urea / Diazolidinyl urea in presence of its toxic degradation product; Formaldehyde. A.2. HPTLC- densitometric method for determination of Avobenzone / Octinoxate simultaneously by in presence of Paraben. Section B. High Performance Liquid chromatographic Methods B.1. Stability indicating method for determination of Imidazolidinyl urea / Diazolidinyl urea in mixture with other preservatives by RP-HPLC method. B.2. Determination of Avobenzone and Octinoxate simultaneously in presence of their alkaline, acidic and photo-degradation products by RP-HPLC. Part V: Electrochemical techniques -Kinetic study of Chlorhexidine using ion selective electrode The thesis refers to 202 references, contains 77 tables and 69 figures |
