Abstract This thesis is concerned with studying the effect of lycopene on the pharmacokinetics of some drugs by development of simple and accurate RP- HPLC methods for the analysis of paracetamol, chorzoxazone , and theophylline in rats. The thesis consists of the following sections: Section I: Introduction It includes: I. A review about the pharmacokinetics, food {u2013}drug interaction, and investigated drugs II. Literature review about the reported methods for the quantitative determination of the drugs under investigation in human plasma and ratsIII. Aim and basis of the work: this section includes the aim of this work and the basis on which the work had been done.
