Abstract

Coronary slow flow(CSF) is a relatively common form of coronary artery disease that is characterized by slow progression of a contrast agent through the coronary arteries in the absence of any epicardial stenosis. Small vessel disease, subclinical atherosclerosis, endothelial dysfunction, raised inflammatory markers, adrenergic hyperactivity, and anatomical factors of epicardial arteries have all been implicated in the pathogenesis of CSF. Psychological factors play an important role in the development and prognosis of CSF. This study came to investigate the relationship between two of these psychological factors which are anxiety, depression, and coronary slow flow. The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between the anxiety, depression assessed by the BAI, BDI respectively and coronary slow flow 2CSF3 diagnosed by coronary angiography TIMI frame count (TFC). This study was conducted on 100 subjects divided into 2 groups: 50 patients coronary slow flow group 2CSF3, and 50 patients coronary normal flow group 2CNF3
