Abstract The present study was carried out during two successive seasons 2018 and 2019 on twelve years old date palm trees (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cv. Barhee. Trees were spaced at 7 X 6 meters apart and grown under fertigation system in a sandy soil at a private date palm orchard in Wadi El-Natroun region region in El-Behera governorate. The present experimental was carried out 75 Palm were uniformly selected as possible and healthy and nearly in vigor and size. Eight bunches on each palm were uniformly selected nearly in vigor and size and were subjected to spraying treatments by plant growth regulators once at the beginning of fruit color break stages ( the end of the kimri and beginning of bisir stage ) and bunches covering by paper and cloth after day of spray, in order to study the effect of the different spraying treatments and bunches covering on harvest time, yield and fruit physic-chemical characteristics at harvest time of ”Barhee” date palm. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates for each treatment (each replicate = represents one palm). |
