Abstract

This study was conducted at Plant Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba-Basha), Alexandria University, Egypt, and at Sakha Agricultural Research Station to study the effect of irrigation number on growth habit, earliness traits, physiological traits, yield and yield components traits and fiber quality trots in some Egyptian cotton varieties. Three Egyptian cotton used in this study i.e.: Giza 86, Giza 92 and Giza 94. Also, three irrigation numbers used i.e.: every 14 days (8irrigations), every 22 days (6 irrigations) and every 30 days (4 irrigations) through two seasons 2018 and 2019. Toke some of traits on ten plants chosen in every plot and calculated and analysis. This trait is following:
1- Earliness,growth habit and physiological traits:-
1-1 Earliness traits:
1-1-1 – First fruiting node (F.F.N.).
1-1-2 Earliness index. (E.I.).
1-2- Growth habit traits:-
1-2-1 Number of Vegetative branches (N.V.B.).
1-2-2 Number of fruiting branches (N.F.B.).
1-2-3 Plant height(PH.).
1-3- Physiological traits:-
1-3-1 – Chlorophyll (A). (Ch.A).
1-3-2- Chlorophyll (B).(Ch.B).
1-3-3- Total Chlorophyll
1-3-4- Carotenes content.
