Abstract

The present study was carried out during two successive seasons (2016/2017 and 2017/2018) in a private Farm at Meet Yazid village, Kom Hamada city, El Behera Governorate, Egypt. to investigate the effect of NPK fertilizations and some natural extracts on growth and yield of Nigella Sativa L. The following treatments were applied: 1-(control) NPK full dose (50 kg Ammonium sulphate + 200 kg calcium super phosphate + 75 kg Potassium sulphate /fed). 2- ¾NPK +2 ml/l. SWE (sea weeds extracts) 3- ¾NPK +0.3 g/l. GTE (grtea extracts) 4- ¾NPK + 2 g/l. ADY (active dry yeast) 5- ½NPK+3 ml/l. SWE 6- ½NPK +0.5 g/l. GTE 7- ½NPK +3 g/l. ADY 8- 4ml/l.SWE+0.4g/l.GTE+ 4 g/l.ADY 9- 4ml/l.SWE+ 5g/l.ADY10- 0.5g/l.GTE+ 5 g/l.ADY 11- 4ml/l.SWE+ 0.6/l.GTE Organic matter (10 m3/fed for all treatments) and phosphor fertilizer were added at the time of soil preparation while nitrogen and potassium fertilizers were achieved in two equal doses and were added at two separate side dressings, the first dose after month from germination at December 10th 2016 and December 24th 2017 and the second one at March 1st 2016 and March 25th 2017The plants were sprayed 3 times with seaweed extracts, green tea extract and active dry yeast, the first after month from germination, the second after month from first and the third after month from second, early in the morning or in the afternoon. The experimental was designed as a randomized complete block design with three replicates, each replicate contains 11 treatments.The main results can be summarized as growth parameters:• The tallest plants resulted from the treatments of ½NPK dose +3 ml/l .SWE, 4ml/l SWE+ 5g/l ADY and ¾NPK dose+ 2ml/l SWE in the first season and NPK full dose or ½NPK dose+3ml/l SWE in second season• The highest number of Shoots /plant was recorded for 4ml/l.SWE+0.6g/l.GTE. in the first season and 4 ml/l.SWE+0.4g/l.GTE+ 4 g/l.ADY and 0.5g/l.GTE+ 5 g/l.ADY in second season. No significant differences among the used treatments in the both seasons• The highest weight of fresh shoots was recorded for ¾ NPK +2ml / l SWE in the first season and ½NPK dose +3 g/l .ADY. or ¾NPK dose combined with ether 2g/l ADY or 0.3g/l GTE in second season• The highest weight of dry shoots/ plant resulted from ¾NPK + 2 ml /l SWE in the first season and ½NPK +3 g/l. ADY. in the second season.• The highest value of main stem diameter was recorded for 0.5g/l.GTE+ 5 g/l.ADY, ¾NPK +0.3 g/l. GTE and 4 ml/l.SWE+ 5g/l.ADY without significant differences among themselves in the first season and ¾NPK +3.0 g/l. GTE in second season.
