Abstract

This study was carried out between the apiary of the experimental farm and the laboratory of Plant Protection and biomolecular diagnosis department, Arid Land institute-SRTA-City and labs of faculty of agriculture Saba-basha-Alexandria University, from March, 2015 to March, 2017.
Twelve honey bee colonies of Apis mellifera were used during this study. (N.S.CS) six colonies were caught from Borg El-Arab region. Six naturally swarm (colony 1, 6, 8, 14, 16, and 21) were caught and housed in langstroth hive. While, other six (A.S.CS) six colonies, headed by local carniolan queens (colony 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 15) were prepared as divided system at the same time and approximately equal in the strength of stored honey, stored pollen, brood production and bee population.
Each colony of naturally or artificially swarm was housed in langstroth hive and examined at the same time, and measured at 21-days interval.
