longer management information system is one of the modern scientific management methods, effective management tools necessary to support the decision-making process, and all organizations seek to develop their administrative information systems to ensure the efficiency of the administrative system, especially in the university education system as a means of suitable for competitive advantage ,in response to the requirements of globalization and Scientific and technological revolution.
One study has proved that there is only one way to improve the global ranking of a university and to achieve its competitive advantage: the use of the management information system that supports the university’s performance, in order to reach global leadership and lead in international classifications.
Research problem:
the research problem can be framed in the following main question:
How can management information system be developed at Ain Shams University in the light of some entrepreneurial models in foreign universities?
A number of sub-questions arise from this question:
1- What are the theoretical bases of MIS and its applications in some contemporary universities?
2- What is the reality of management information system at Ain Shams University documentary?
3- What are the proposed alternatives for the development of the management information system at Ain Shams University in the light of some entrepreneurial models in foreign universities?
4- What is the proposed system for information system at Ain Shams University in light of some entrepreneurial models in foreign universities?
Research aims:
The research aims to:
1- Identify the theoretical bases of management information system and its applications in some foreign universities.
2- To examine the reality of the management information system at Ain Shams University documentary.
3- To arrive at a set of proposed alternatives for the development of management information system at Ain Shams University in light of some entrepreneurial models in foreign universities.
4- Access to the appropriate system for management information at Ain Shams University in light of some entrepreneurial models in foreign universities.
Research Methodology:
Methodology of the research is mainly based on ”System Analysis approach”, in order to be used in analysis of MIS at Ain Shams University by identifying the inputs, processes, outputs and feedback of this system. The system analysis method aims to improve the current system and developing it to achieve the highest level of Efficiency and effectiveness of the system.
Research steps:
According to the theoretical steps of the systems analysis method, the current research is conducted according to the following steps:
Step 1: is to determine the general framework of the research, including research introduction, research problem, research limits, research objectives and importance, sources and tools, research terms and previous studies, research methodology and steps.
Step 2: Defining the theoretical bases of the management information system in contemporary universities – documentary.
Step 3: Present some enterpreneurial models for the application of MIS in foreign universities.
Step 4: Describe the reality of the e information system at Ain Shams University.
Step 5: Formulate possible alternatives for the development of the administrative information system at Ain Shams University, then Compare the alternatives and choose the most suitable alternative to the system environment at Ain Shams University.
Step 6: Present the proposed system for information system at Ain Shams University in the light of some enterpreneurial models in foreign universities.
