Abstract This in vitro assay evaluated the utility of an antidiabetic biguanide, metformin (Met) and a natural product from orange peel oil, dlimonene monocyclic monoterpene for possible therapeutic potential either solely or in combination on HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells, MCF-7 human breast carcinoma cell line and WI-38 human lung fibroblast normal cell line. For demonstrating the molecular relationships between Met and d-limonene and the identified genes connected between them, an integrated system pharmacology approach is provided. To introduce a drug-target-pathway network that clarifies various therapeutic mechanisms. |
