The study aimed to develop a future vision for the application of home education in Egypt in the light of contemporary societal changes, through the opinions of some educational experts about the requirements for implementing that vision in Egypt.
The current study relied on a complex methodology of the descriptive approach and future studies based on the Delphi method to reach a future vision for the application of home education in Egypt; The study relied on Delphi questionnaires in its three rounds as a tool for the study to identify the opinions of the 25 education experts in the mechanisms of applying home education in Egypt.
The study reached a proposed vision for the application of home education in Egypt, based on a philosophy that suits the Egyptian environment, and is based on several axes based on the diversity of the student’s education approaches in proportion to his abilities, interests and inclinations, while preserving the cultural identity of the community through the reproduction of the beliefs and values of the community, and is based on a group Among the requirements for implementing home education in Egypt are: legislative requirements such as the issuance of legislation and laws that recognize home education as a type of education, and the organizational and administrative requirements that home education units be established in each governorate, so that the home education unit of the Ministry of Education will link them to home education units in educational directorates and departments and schools, in addition to developing home education programs, plans and curricula through a specialized committee of faculty members with experience in this field, And the diversity of evaluation systems in home education between electronic evaluation and school evaluation, and the requirements of humanity such as developing a plan to qualify parents to exercise their roles, and financial requirements, including directing home-schooling registration expenses to support this type of education, and the cultural and societal requirements, including the dissemination of the culture of home education in the Egyptian society through the media. The vision also found a set of obstacles that prevent the application of home education in Egypt, including: weak Internet networks, which poses a strong threat to the communication process, fear of home-schooling experience.
