Abstract

Animals have played a great role in the life of ancient Egyptians therefore, the art is
full of images of animals, which indicate that the Egyptians enjoyed a rich
relationship with the animal kingdom. Also, Egyptians delighted in portraying
animals in their vibrant, skillful art with exceptional anatomical and zoological
accuracy. Animals’ feelings were depicted obviously on the tomb wall scenes
including maternal affection, joy, love, pain, fear, rage, sorrow, and representations
that revealed the human-animal relationship. All these emotions were recognized in
scenes by identifying animals’ body language. Additionally, the study was depended
on the recent animals’ studies, the ancient Egyptian language, and literature to explore
animal emotions. Therefore, I followed the descriptive-analytical methodology. This
study is divided into nine chapters, results, and discussion then the conclusion.
