Abstract Construction safety in both developed and underdeveloped countries has recently been assessed. The construction industry contributes significantly to both the economic and social aspects of society. However, it is considered the most hazardous industry in terms of personal safety and health. A variety of factors lead to construction site accidents. This research looks into the relationship between productivity, safety, and health in the construction industry in Iraq, to raise company understanding of the importance of health and safety issues in order to increase productivity. To determine the most common factors influencing workers’ health, performance, and productivity, a comprehensive literature review was conducted. As a result, 36 factors were identified and classified into five groups. The opinions of 100 Iraqi construction professionals were gathered using an interview methodology and questionnaire. To analyze and rank factors, the Total Importance Index of Health, Performance, and Productivity Impact (T.I.I.I %) was used. The findings emphasize the importance of putting health and safety measures in the workplace. These interventions have an impact on not just the project, but also individuals and society as a whole. According to the preliminary findings of this study, interventions will help companies in achieving their objectives and improving their performance. Improving working conditions and implementing health and safety management programs will increase productivity by creating better working conditions.
