Abstract Cobalt nano ferrites with formula CoFe₂O₄ , and CoFe2O4/GR were synthesized using a citrate auto-combustion method. The prepared samples were classified into three groups. In the first group, an attempt was made to synthesize and characterize CoFe₂O₄ and graphene-based CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles using citrate auto combustion.The structural, magnetic and optical properties of the prepared samples are studied in order to get a more applicable one.The impetus of the second group is to study the effect of doping rare earth ions (Ce, Er, and Sm) on the structural, electrical, magnetic properties and thermoelectric power of cobalt ferrite nanoparticles. An attempt was made to increase the electrical conductivity without compromising the other appropriate material properties.The obtained data was compared with the data of already testified pure cobalt ferrites. Impact of Er³⁺/ graphene substitution on the physical properties of cobalt ferrite nanocomposites and evaluation of their antibacterial activity is the main issue in the third group |
