Abstract

Purpose:The purpose of this study is to detect best performing parameters of corneal tomography and dynamic corneal biomechanics with high sensitivity and specificity in diagnosis of subclinical keratoconus. Design: A prospective, non-randomized, Observational clinical study applied on patients who were candidate for laser visual corrective surgery.Patients and methods: The study included 40 eyes of patients who were candidate for laser visual corrective surgery, divided into 4 groups, Group1: Keratoconus patients: will be confirmed by thorough clinical examination and corneal topography, BAD D more than or equal 2.38, Mean keratometry more than or equal 44.9, 3rd order vertical coma abbreation of corneal front more than or equal-0.798. group 2: Forme Fruste keratoconus: defined as the fellow eye of a patient with clinical and tomographic signs of keratoconus, which has none of the clinical and tomographical signs of keratoconus. group 3: patients with subclinical keratoconus(SCKC): criteria of SCKC include the following parameters: BADd more than or equal 1.54,IVA more than 0.14, ISV more than 22, Fifth order vertical coma more than or equal 0.023, or2overall subjective suspicious topography and tomography examinations3 based on the evaluation of experienced refractive surgeons. group 4: Patients with normal eyes
