Abstract Twenty corals belonging to common scleractinian Reef-building species in the Red sea were collected from three vital cities Hodeidah in Yemen, Suez gulf in Egypt and Port Sudan in Sudan and subjected to neutron activation analysis. Thirty seven elements were experimentally determined. The partition coefficients, pollution loading indices were calculated. Statistics tests for all data were conducted using SPSS software package.This study shows that these sites are in a critical situation. A persistent monitoring should be conducted there to prevent the increasing of pollutants |
