Abstract

Lumbar and lumbosacral spine fusion is a common surgical procedure used in the management of spinal instability. Increase in rigidity of the lower lumbar spine associated with fusion at one or more level will cause increase in loading on sacroiliac joint, this could cause abnormal movements and strains on the ligaments and the joint itself. The sacroiliac joint has gained increasing attention as a source of persistent or newly developed pain after lumbar or lumbosacral fusion. Clinical studies, imaging studies and using sacroiliac joint injection tests, it have shown that the sacroiliac joint pain is the cause pain in a considerable number of patients after fusion surgery.Objectives:- Prevalence of sacroiliac dysfunction due to fusion surgeries.-The efficacy of treatment for sacroiliac dysfunction.-Clinical outcome and Possible complications
