Abstract
The study was observational (cross sectional study),conducted in the
Neuropsychiatry Department and the center of Neuropsychiatry and Neurosurgery, Tanta University Hospitals from December 2020 to December
2021. The study included epileptic children aged from 3 to 18 years and
they were divided into two groups:
group I drug-resistant group (DRG):
This group included 30 children presented with drug-resistant
epilepsy.group II control group (CG):This group included 30 patients with controlled primary epilepsy who
achieved sustained seizure freedom on medication matched with the patient
group regarding age and sex.
