Abstract Platelets are blood cells with several functions in the body, they play an active role in the immunological and inflammatory aspect of tissue healing (Galliera et al.,2012),one is to promote blood clotting so that a person does not excessively bleed when they are cut. Another is to contain proteins in the blood that help wounds to heal. PRP is often called3regenerative medicine3 (Gawaz et al.,2013). PRP is obtained by extracting 10 cc of peripheral blood from the person being treated and put into a centrifuge or other specialized device that spins at high speed to separate platelets from other blood components. The concentration of platelets is then injected into the area of the person{u2019}s body that needs to be treated |
