Abstract

Background: Accurate assessment of surgically induced astigmatism has been a key component in the improvement of the surgical technique. Incision characteristics such as, size and location can alter magnitude and orientation of the surgically induced astigmatism.Purpose: To assess the surgically induced astigmatism after Iris-claw lens implantation through sutureless Scleral tunnel incision.Method: This is a prospective interventional study conducted on 25 eyes of 13 patients where the surgically induced astigmatism is measured by Vector analysis using the ASSORT vector calculator. Results: There is no statistically significant Astigmatic change after Anterior chamber Iris-claw lens implantation through sutureless scleral tunnel incision. Conclusion: The sutureless Scleral tunnel incision is an astigmatically neutral incision
