Abstract

Different methods for the determination of certain drugs in laboratory mixtures and in pharmaceutical dosage formsor in biological fluids have been applied in this thesis. These drugs are Aripiprazole, Clomipramine, Clonazepam, desvenlafaxine, Escitalopram, L-methylfolate, Nortriptyline, pregabalin, Sertraline, venlafaxine and vilazodone. chromatographic part includes the use of High Performance Liquid chromatographic Method with Tandem Mass Detection for simultaneous determination of Aripiprazole, Clomipramine,Sertraline and vilazodone(Application to an in vivo pharmacokinetic study of drug-herb metabolic interaction potential of Khat).RP- HPLC for simultaneous determination of two binary mixtures, L-methylfolate (L-MF) and Clonazepam (CLO) with Escitalopram oxalate (ESC) in laboratory prepared mixtures and in pharmaceutical dosage forms.RP-HPLC-UV Detection Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Venlafaxine and its major active metabolite Desvenlafaxine in laboratory mixture and dosage form. RP-HPLC-UV Detection Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Pregabalin and Nortriptyline in laboratory mixture and dosage form. Spectroscopic part includes the use of PLS technique for the simultaneous determination of Escitalopram and Clonazepam and simultaneous determination of Venlafaxine and Desvenlafaxine. Statistical comparison between the results obtained by the proposed methods and reference methods were carried out
