Introduction to the study:
The study of organizational behavior is very important, but highly effective organizations and institutions encourage their managers to study the principles of organizational behavior, because knowledge is the basis for interpretation and analysis of behavior, and is also the basis for predicting it, and it is also the basis for directing and controlling this behavior (),
Organizational behavior is one of the important issues for every school principal, as the human element is one of the most important production elements within the institution, and managing human behavior is one of the difficult and complex tasks due to the multiplicity and intertwining of variables that affect human behavior.
Planning and managing organizational behavior is a matter for employees and members of the management team, and not only for the members of the organization who have administrative authority.
from all of the above, the study of organizational behavior has become a vital necessity to improve the principal’s performance and professional success in the long run, as the development of school administration needs leaders who enhance and support organizational behavior. Also, the study of organizational behavior helps in developing a framework that managers can use in describing and solving problems and creating It is known that understanding organizational behavior helps explain the shortcomings in performance and commitment, and for this it was important to conduct a scientific study, to identify the role of organizational behavior in developing school administration in basic education schools in Sohag Governorate.
Hence the idea of the current study to study the role of organizational behavior in developing school administration in basic education schools in Sohag Governorate.
the study Problem:
The main problem arises in the lack of school principals’ use of organizational behavior as an entrance to the development of school administration, within basic education schools, which prompted the researcher’s interest to do this study, in order to activate and revitalize organizational behavior in basic education schools in Sohag Governorate.
Study questions:
The main question of the study was represented in the following question: What is the role of organizational behavior in developing school administration in basic education schools in Sohag Governorate?
Several sub-questions emerge from this question:
1- What are the philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks for organizational behavior in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in the contemporary educational and administrative literature?
2- What are the philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks for school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in the contemporary educational and administrative literature?
3- What is the reality of organizational behavior in school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate?
4- What are the mechanisms and procedures to activate the organizational behavior in developing the performance of the school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate?
Objectives of the study:
The current study aimed to identify:
1. Philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks for organizational behavior in schools of the second cycle of basic education in Egypt.
2. Philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks for school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Egypt.
3. The reality of organizational behavior in school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
4. Develop a number of mechanisms and procedures to activate the organizational behavior in developing the performance of the school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
The importance of studying:
1- The current study is an attempt to present a new addition on the issue of organizational behavior in school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate.
2- This study can contribute to identifying the reality of organizational behavior in general and in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in particular.
3- This study will attempt to find out the degree of use of the school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education of organizational behavior at work.
4- This study can contribute to increasing interest in organizational behavior in order to improve performance and develop school administration in schools of the second cycle of basic education.
5- This study can benefit from:
 Administrative leaders in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in knowing the optimal use of human resources available in improving the performance and development of school administration by paying attention to their behaviors between each other and between them and their superiors as well as between them and their subordinates and working to understand these behaviors and trying to explain them and trying to predict their behavior in the future and raise his morale Develop feelings of loyalty and belonging to the institution and increase their motivation to work.
 Those in charge of following up the school principals of the second cycle of basic education in the Ministry of Education.
 Researchers and scholars in the field of school administration.
 The educational library by adding a modest effort, in light of the scarcity of studies to the knowledge of the researcher that dealt with the role of organizational behavior in the development of school administration.
 Educational departments.
 Directorates of Education in the governorates.
 The National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
 Men of educational planning and educational policy.
 The Ministry of Education.
The limits of the study:
1) Objective limits:
This study was limited to the reality of the practice of organizational loyalty behavior and organizational citizenship behavior in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate, as well as studying the features of school administration in schools of the second cycle of basic education, and developing mechanisms and procedures to activate organizational behavior in schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate. .
Geographical boundaries:
Due to the large number of schools in the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate, this study was limited to a sample of these schools, which numbered (75) schools distributed among (6) educational departments, namely (Sohag - Al-Maragha - Tahta - Juhayna - Akhmim - Al-Manshah). Randomly selected from a total of about (616) schools, distributed among (11) educational administrations at the governorate level, namely (Sohag - Tama - Tahta - Maragha - Juhayna - Akhmim - Saqlata - Al Balina - Al-Munsha’ - Dar Al Salam - Gerga).
2) Human limits:
The current study is limited in its human limits to a sample of the schools of the second cycle of basic education, which amounted to about (102) female principals and agents, (181) female teachers, (60) female specialists, and (55) female administrators. time limits:
This study was applied during the first semester of the 2021 academic year| 2022 AD, during the months of January and February.
Study Approach:
This study used the descriptive approach due to its relevance to the nature of this study. It describes the current situation of organizational behavior, analyzes and explains the existing relationships and the prevailing practices responsible for the phenomenon so that certain results can be reached from the existing situation in order to upgrade, develop and improve it.
The data collected using the descriptive method is divided into three types:
1- Data collected through an organized description of what is currently in place as well as an analysis of all aspects related to current phenomena.
2- Data that you might need to solve a problem.
3- The data necessary to achieve the desired goals, and this type of data needs to be analyzed and experts consulted to choose the best ways to achieve the goals ().
Study tools:
The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data from the respondents, and it is one of the most appropriate scientific research tools in the social and educational survey, which the researcher believes that it fits his current study in collecting data and answering the questions of the study, thus achieving the objectives of the study and was directed to each of:
 Principals and deputies of the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
 Teachers and specialists in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
 Administrators in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
Summary of results:
The most important findings of the field study:
It is evident from the results of the study:
- Organizational behavior in the second cycle schools of basic education schools in Sohag Governorate is practiced in actual practice to a high degree, and all employees practice organizational behavior at a high degree.
- Organizational loyalty in its three dimensions is highly practiced in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate, and this is reflected positively on performance.
- After the continuous loyalty in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate, it needs strengthening.
- The behavior of organizational citizenship in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate is practiced to a high degree, and this contributes to improving the level of efficiency, performance and organizational effectiveness.
- The dimensions of civility and sportsmanship need to be strengthened in order to strengthen the psychological and emotional connection among workers in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate.
- The school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag governorate participates with school staff in some decisions, but not all decisions.
- The school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education suffers from a lack of necessary information about organizational behavior.
- Lack of interest in spreading the culture of organizational behavior among the employees of the second cycle schools of basic education.
- Weak human relations between the school administration and members of the local community in the schools of the second cycle of basic education.
- Lack of school administration interest in developing scientific creativity, and encouraging new ideas for workers in the second cycle of basic education schools.
- Lack of school administration’s interest in measuring the collective performance of workers in the second cycle of basic education schools.
Second, the suggested mechanisms and procedures:
In light of the results of the current study, whether through its theoretical or field framework of analyzes and results, the current study presents the following some procedures and proposed mechanisms for the development of school administration in the schools of the second cycle of basic education in Sohag Governorate, in light of the entrance to organizational behavior:
- Working to spread the culture of organizational behavior among the employees of the second cycle schools of basic education.
- Working to provide the necessary information for school employees of the second cycle of basic education on organizational behavior through publications, scientific studies and training courses.
- Strengthening and enhancing the concepts and objectives of organizational behavior within educational institutions.
- Spreading the culture of the democratic style among managers, because it has a significant impact on the development of human resources in the Ministry of Education, followed immediately by the transformational leadership style.
- Giving school workers in the second cycle of basic education more freedom to experiment with ideas and innovations they see fit.
- Involve all school staff in the process of planning, organizing and making decisions that concern the school.
- Strengthening the social and psychological climate, due to its positive relationship with teacher productivity.
- Constant and continuous endeavor to activate the role of boards of trustees, parents, teachers, and education committees in order to achieve community partnership.
- Supporting human relations between principals and teachers in a positive way because it contributes to the advancement of the educational process.
- Work to find real cooperation between the school administration and parents in improving the educational level of their children.
- Work to activate the contribution of businessmen to financial aid to improve the educational process.
- Managing behavior and directing it towards achieving the goal through positive support for the desired behavior and building appropriate incentive and support systems.
- Choosing the appropriate communication and leadership style, and creating a good working environment and conditions, to relieve pressures and bring them to an effective level in a way that contributes to achieving the school’s goals.
- Working on developing the skill and efficiency of teachers and developing their abilities and skills, by preparing and organizing training courses for professional growth.
- Develop a future strategy for the development and development of the behavior of individuals and groups within the school.
- Working on holding training courses for school principals by the Ministry of Education with the aim of informing them of effective administrative methods, because of their effective importance in improving the job performance of employees.
- Work to form a committee within each school to discuss proposals and complaints about school staff and students and try to solve them, and set up a box inside the school in which complaints and suggestions are placed.
- Paying attention to justice in distributing work to teachers because it leads to job satisfaction.
