Abstract
Polytrauma is one of the commonest presentations to the emergency department (ED). It is noted that patient history and clinical examination is often low sensitivity and specificity for the accurate diagnosis of acute traumatic abdominal pathology. It is obvious that bedside ultrasonography is a very helpful adjunct for the diagnosis of many emergent and life-threatening conditions .
