Abstract

Health-related quality of life (QoL) has been evolving since the 1980s. QoL is very important to understand the impact of medical or surgical interventions on the patient. It is rather a subjective evaluation and self-assessment tool that is considered as a valid indicator of the perceived physical and mental outcomes from a specific intervention.For the health care provider, patient-oriented outcome measures help in research to establish which treatments are most effective.There are many validated health-related quality of life (QoL) measures developed in the literature such as quality of life scale
