Abstract Background: Gingival recession is a condition that results in esthetic impairment and hypersensitivity problems. Various surgical procedures and materials were introduced to obtain the best clinical outcomes in conjunction with patient{u201F}s satisfaction.Materials and methods: 28 patients with Miller class I/II gingival recession were randomly assigned to 2 groups receiving CAF+SCTG or CAF+SCTG+PRF and followed up to 6 months. Recession depth and width, gingival thickness, keratinized tissue width, probing depth, clinical attachment gain and patient reported outcomes were measured at baseline, 3 and 6 months. Results: Complete root coverage in the test group was 92.9% and 91.6 % in control group. No statistical significant difference was found between groups in all clinical parameters. Conclusion: PRF did not add any benefit to the SCTG in treatment of Miller class I/II gingival recession |
