Abstract

synthesis of new compounds containing triphenylamine, indole, and phenothiazines : In this part, new organic compounds and dyes were prepared that contain these compounds as a starting material in addition to acetamide, pyridone and thiazolidine compounds due to their great importance in the field of solar energy and also for their biological importance as they are used as anticancer. Part II: Biological applications and molecular docking of heterocyclic compounds (pyridones and thiazolidines) : The Cytotoxicity activity of triphenylamines containing derivatives of pyridone, thiazole, pyrazole and/or isoxazole was tested in vitro against two types of cancer cells such as lung cancer. A-549 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer by MTT method and using cisplatin as the reference drug. The results showed that pyridone compounds are better than thiazolidine-5-ones against two types of cells used. Part III : Preparation of new organic dyes containing diformyl-triphenylamine, indole, and phenothiazines : Preparation of dyes based on acetamide and thiazolidine-5-one for their high ability to receive electrons. The UV of dyes were studied in DMF solution, and the dyes containing thiazolidine-5-on bathochromic shift showed lower energy compared to cyanoacrylamide dyes, indicating their ability to harvest light. There are many factors affecting the performance of dye solar cells such as chemical composition, VOC and JSC. We found that the dye containing the thiazolidine ring gave the highest efficiency ղ = (6.09%) and the highest current JSC (14.13 mA) cm−2 because of it having a high molar absorption coefficient beside having the longest wavelength and also giving the highest voltage (0.0624 V) VOC. This is due to the presence of Cyano groups attached to the surface of titanium.
