Abstract In this research, the antibacterial effects of ZnO nanoparticles against multidrug resistance bacteria named Klebsiella pneumoniae were tested, and how to decrease the dose by synergistic exposure to low-frequency electromagnetic radiation and compare the effects with that resulting from the exposure to low frequency, low-intensity ultrasound. In chapter one, the medical importance of K. pneumoniae and especially in intensive care units, and the risk factors which may be involved in the emergence of multi-drug resistance bacteria were introduced. Also, we gave an account of low-frequency electromagnetic waves, ultrasound, and their antibacterial activity. Then we mentioned the aim of the research. |
