Education is what shapes society, and it is the one that has the ability to make society compatible with changes and developments, especially those that call for openness to global cultures and acceptance of others. Therefore, education plays a major role in correcting misconceptions.
Intellectual tolerance is a culture that is acquired and not an innate characteristic of man, and therefore the positive development in relations at any level must be based primarily on the establishment of a culture of intellectual tolerance through the media of education, starting from the kindergarten stage to the university stage. Tolerance education in order to achieve its goals needs the support of all educational institutions in society, in order to ensure that the values of tolerance are instilled in the new generations, and this in turn will lead to reducing or reducing the culture of intolerance and violence and the spread of a culture of tolerance among members of society of different age levels.
It is noticeable in the Egyptian society in recent times the prevalence of some phenomena that reflect the existence of a number of problems. Society is going through a critical period in its history that is characterized by some for the shaking of values, disruption of social and moral standards and delinquency to extremism, where the dissemination of intellectual tolerance has become required among the members of society through various educational means such as the family, the school, the mosque, and the media in particular, where the media play an important role in Spreading the culture of tolerance, non-intolerance, rejection of violence and non-promotion of it.
The media, in general, plays an important role within society, as it plays the role of a guide for its members of different ages and orientations, and influences them and tries to be at their disposal and the ideas, values and customs they present.
The programs in the Egyptian satellite channels are an educational mediator, a huge cultural force and a source of knowledge, as we find that the programs of satellite channels have many advantages that are unique to them from others, as they combine sound, image, movement and color at the same time, and accordingly the idea of research came.
The study Problem :
In light of the foregoing, the problem of the current study was determined in an attempt to study the reality of education on intellectual tolerance in some programs of Egyptian satellite channels, and in order to develop a proposed vision to activate the role of education on intellectual tolerance in programs on Egyptian satellite channels.
In light of these data, the study attempted to answer the following questions:
 What is the concept of intellectual tolerance? What are the philosophical foundations on which it is based?
 What is the concept of programs in the Egyptian satellite channels? What are the most important aspects of education for intellectual tolerance in it?
 What is the reality of aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of Egyptian satellite channels?
 What is the proposed vision for activating the role of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of some Egyptian satellite channels?
Objectives of the study :
The current study aimed to identify the reality of aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of some Egyptian satellite channels, in addition to trying to present a proposed vision through which education on intellectual tolerance can be activated in its various aspects. To achieve this goal it was necessary to achieve the following objectives:
1- Understand the concept of intellectual tolerance, and the philosophical foundations on which it is based.
2- Identifying aspects of education on intellectual tolerance.
3- Understand the reality of intellectual tolerance in some of the Egyptian satellite TV programs, and identify the most important aspects that need to be shed light on by these programmes.
4- Getting acquainted with the content of the Egyptian satellite TV programs and knowing the topics and contents they focus on.
5- Presenting a proposed vision to increase the effectiveness of education on intellectual tolerance in some programs of Egyptian satellite channels.
The importance of studying :
The importance of the current study stems from the fact that it:
1- The results of this study may help in strengthening the positive aspects and addressing the negative aspects of the Egyptian satellite TV programs towards education on intellectual tolerance.
2- The current study may help media institutions in Egypt to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the programs broadcast on Egyptian satellite channels when dealing with education on intellectual tolerance.
3- The results of this study may be useful in judging the success of satellite channels in contributing to the dissemination of a culture of intellectual tolerance among members of society.
4- The current study may contribute to directing the attention of researchers to the importance of conducting future studies for other groups on this subject.
5- The current study may contribute to directing the attention of officials to the programs of the Egyptian satellite channels to the importance of addressing the dimensions of education on intellectual tolerance.
Study Approach :
The current study relied on the descriptive approach, for its suitability to the nature and objectives of the study, and the researcher used the ”content analysis method” as one of the methods of the descriptive approach.
Study tool:
1- The study tool was represented in the content analysis form: prepared by the researcher as a research tool to reveal the reality of aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of some Egyptian satellite channels. On My Responsibility, Akher Al-Nahar Program, Al-Masry Effendi Program.

Second, the time limit:
from the beginning of approving the plan for the research topic in the department’s seminar until the completion of the thesis.
Terminology of study :
1- Education on intellectual tolerance:
The procedural concept of education on intellectual tolerance in the current study: It is “a process of upbringing that aims to make an individual feel tolerance towards the other who is different from him in religion or sect, and accept his culture, including the beliefs, customs and traditions that it includes, in a way that amounts to representing this feeling in his behavior and practice with others.” ”.
2- Programs on Egyptian satellite channels:
The procedural concept of the programs of the Egyptian judicial channels in the current study: it is every media material that uses sound and image and is presented through television channels via Egyptian satellites (Nilesat) bearing various media templates that seek to achieve aspects of intellectual tolerance among members of society.
Study steps:
According to the subject of the study and the method used in it, and the questions it presented, the current study proceeded according to the following steps:
 The first step: The researcher dealt with the introduction, the problem of the study, its questions, its objectives, its importance, its approach, its limits, its tools, its terminology, and the steps involved in it, and its title is ”the general framework of the study”.
 The second step: The researcher answered the first question of the study, which is: “What is the concept of intellectual tolerance? What are the philosophical foundations on which it is based?” The researcher devoted the second chapter to presenting this, by reviewing the educational literature on this subject, and trying to fulfill its aspects. Among the books and references that talked about that, and accordingly the chapter title came: “The concept of intellectual tolerance and the philosophical foundations on which it is based.”
 The third step: The researcher answered the second question of the study’s study question, which is “What is the concept of programs in Egyptian satellite channels? What are the most important aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in them?” The researcher devoted the third chapter to presenting this, by reviewing the educational literature that dealt with these aspects And an attempt to obtain them from books and references specialized in that, and accordingly the chapter title came: “Aspects of Education on Intellectual Tolerance in Egyptian Satellite Channels.”
 The fourth step: The researcher answered the third question of the study, which is ”What is the reality of aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in some programs of Egyptian judicial channels?” On intellectual tolerance, and accordingly the chapter title (Analytical study on the reality of aspects of education on intellectual tolerance in some programs of Egyptian satellite channels.(
 Step Five: The researcher answered one of the study questions, which is: ”What is the proposed vision for activating the role of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of some Egyptian satellite channels?” In light of this, the researcher presented a proposed vision for activating the role of education on intellectual tolerance in the programs of some Egyptian satellite channels and mechanisms for its implementation, in the fifth chapter of the current study under the title: “A summary of the results of the study and the proposed vision for activating The role of education on intellectual tolerance.
Analytical study results:
Among the most important findings of the researcher in the current study are the following:
1- Weakness in the aspect of freedom of expression and compliance with laws.
2- Weakness of attention beside the appreciation of the other and the dissemination of the value of apology among family members.
3- The programs on the Egyptian satellite channels focused on helping others.
4- Programs on Egyptian satellite channels neglected critical thinking and respect for other cultures.
5- Weak interest in programs in Egyptian satellite channels, in addition to rejecting extremism and extremism and spreading mercy among people.
6- Weak interest in the Arabic language, which affects the linguistic upbringing of viewers.
7- The focus of the programs on the Egyptian satellite channels was on dealing with the purely political and economic aspects, and there was a clear weakness in dealing with the social, cultural and religious aspects of the aspects of education on intellectual tolerance.
