Abstract

This study aims to discuss the effect of applying six sigma to improve the performance of calibration laboratories, which introduce services of calibration to many companies, organizations, and testing laboratories. Due to customer complaints increased lately, and with the increasing importance of six sigma from the past few years, where companies with the help of six sigma methodology are trying to improve their performance by improving processes that reflect on customer satisfaction. The research objective is to develop a strategy for effective implementation of Six Sigma in calibration laboratories for achieving Process improvement, reduce calibration certificates that contain errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.The study also enhances companies{u2019} knowledge and productivity by changing the behavior and attitude of all employees as a result of applying the six sigma methodology. applying the six sigma improvement project shows that there is a decrease in the number of calibration certificates that contain errors, which mean there is a positive effect of applying the six sigma improvement project on customer satisfaction and also save time and effort of correcting certificates that contain errors, and also increase customer confidence in work, which Achieve customer sustainability and increase profits of calibration laboratories, that means applying the six sigma methodology affect positively to the performance of calibration laboratories
