Abstract Single symphyseal implant mandibular overdenture had been reported to achieve satisfactory patient centered results. Two groups (Ball and CM loc attachments) were chosen to support the over-denture. 40 subjects were recruited for non-submerged healing protocol. Implants were installed based on CBCT planning and after patients{u2018} approval confirmed by a written consent. A healing cap was left for three months after which randomization was done prior to attachment pick up. The patients were randomized into two equal groups where 19 patients were placed in each group after 2 failures happening in the Osseo integration phase Patient satisfaction was reported at baseline (patients wearing conventional complete denture), 2 weeks after loading, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months interval of time. Bone height was reported at 2 weeks after loading, 6, and 12 month interval of time. Results had shown statistically insignificant difference comparing between the two groups regarding the patient satisfaction where the patient satisfaction outcome was markedly improved with statistically significant difference after implant installation for both groups. Regarding bone height, there was also statistically insignificant difference comparing between both groups, however there was statistically significant difference with decrease in bone height around the implants in both groups |
