Abstract This study was conducted to evaluate Sin Crest Technique for maxillary sinus lifting through crestal approach, the study involved 7 patients with 10 implants that were placed at posterior maxillary alveolar ridge with residual bone height of approximately 5mm. For every patient a preoperative, immediate postoperative and six months postoperative CBCT were taken to evaluate residual bone height, amount of sinus lifting and amount of bone deposition around implant to determine success of Osseointegration.mucoperiosteal flap. Osteotomy site of the implants prepared by Sin Crest drills (sequential drills with specific stops to reach the desired depth without sinus injury, Sin Crest manual osteotome which allows sinus membrane elevation by finger pressure without perforation). Bone graft materials were used to induce bone formation around implant after implant insertion, following up the cases was done six months postoperatively. Newly formed bone around implants can be seen, with mean value of 3.19±1.17 with success rate of 66.07% |
