Abstract
This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some drugs affecting nasal mucosa namely, Paracetamol with Phenylephrine hydrochloride andParacetamol with Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and Chlorpheniramine maleate in their combined form. It comprises application of different methods of analysis for assay of the selected drugs in their mixtures and in pharmaceutical dosage forms. Moreover, stability indicating methods for some of the selected drugswere developed and validated in presence of degradation products and impurities due to their toxicity.The proposed methods were statistically compared with official methods to confirm the claims of methods{u2019} validity.The applied techniques include spectrophotometry, chemometry, thin layer chromatography (TLC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (CE) and ion selective electrodes (ISE).The proposed methods were simple, accurate, and reproducible, which would be feasible and sensitive for the determination of the studied drugs
