Abstract Purpose-This thesis aims to compare findings of MR Enterography to Ileo-Colonoscopy and to evaluate the role of MR Enterography in assessment of IBD patients as a non-invasive method. Approach- This study is carried out as a prospective cross-sectional in collaboration between gastroenterology department and radiology department, faculty of medicine, Cairo university; where the results of both ileo-colonoscopy and MR Enterography are compared. Results-30 case of males & females <15 years of age with evidence of IBD as diagnosed by clinical, laboratory, imaging and endoscopic criteria are collected and compared in the study.Conclusion- Detection of small bowel lesions and mesenteric inflammation that may not be assessed in colonoscopy confirming the complementary role of MR Enterography to Colonoscopy in IBD patients |
