Abstract

Keeping honeybee hives in a dark room during March of 2018 and 2019 as well as during September of 2018 and 2019 for successive three days resulted in great reduction to the number of Varroa mite inner beehives i.e., on white card boards, on broods and on alive honeybees. Environmental management by bee house and dark bee house will be promising in decreasing colony collapse disorder (CCD) in the world. Using the normal adhesive sheets for mice traps or their modification by adding brood juice + Royal jelly (to increase the period of the validity of the used sheets) for sticking Varroa mite revealed prolonging efficiency. In addition, the modified adhesive sheets were more efficient in this regard than the normal ones. The natural infestation with Varroa mite was high on the alive bee, the broods with high numbers of fallen Varroa mites on the white card boards in case of open apiary than those recorded in the bee house. The waves of high degrees of temperature resulted in drastic effect on beehives i.e., dying bees, broods and milting the wax of the hives. Rearing honeybees in the bee house significantly increased colony strength compared with rearing in an open apiary. The three plant oils (eucalyptus, marjoram and spearmint) , formic acid and two acaricides ( Apistan and Marfic) significantly increased the fallen Varroa mites on white card boards and decreasing it on the broods and alive bees. Formic acid, Mafric and Apistan were the most efficient ones and marjoram was the lowest efficient one. The estimated acetylcholine bromide and lactate dehydrogenase were higher in honeybee workers kept in dark bee house than those kept in a bee house
