Abstract This study aimed to validate the theory that there is a critical concentration of nanoparticles after which the recovered oil will decrease due to the agglomeration and retention of the particles in the porous media. This research results are expected to have a real impact on designing the optimum set of parameters: injection rate, slug size, and concentration, of the commercial nanofluid system. This helps to understand the mechanism of achieving ultimate oil recovery with the most economic approach and will open the door for taking the nanotechnology from the lab to the oil field. |
