Abstract The present study was carried out on Deverra tortuosa, Daucus syrticus, Anethum graveolens and Petroselinum crispum which belong to family Apiaceae, to investigate the ecological study of soils supporting them, and phytochemical and biological activities of the plants extracts, as well as their application in synthesis of green silver nanoparticles. Pharmacopial constants such as water content, ash and crude fibers; beside total carbohydrates, total lipids, total nitrogen and total protein content for each plant were determined during the period of investigation. Free and combined amino acids, free and combined sugars, GC/MS of lipoidal matter and volatile oils were investigated. The antimicrobial, antioxidant, cytotoxicity and hypoglycemic activities of each plant extracts were determined. The plants extracts were used in synthesis of green silver nanoparticles.
