Abstract This study was carried out during 2017 and 2018 growing seasons at the research farm of Rice Research and Training Center ( RRTC ), Sakha,Kafr El-Sheikh,Egypt . Seven rice varieties namely , Sakha 101, Sakha 104, Sakha 105,Giza 177, Black rice- 1, Black rice- 2 and Black rice- 3 were planted in different sowing date to make crosses in all possible combinations according to Griffing (1956),Method (2) , Model(1). during 2017 season. The parents and their crosses were evaluated in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replication during 2018 . Studied traits: The data were recorded according to Standard Evaluation System (SES) of (IRRI 2008), for all studied traits Morphological, yield and its components traits; heading date (days), plant height (cm) , flag Leaf area (cm2) , number of panicles per plant , Panicle length (cm) , Panicle weight (g) ,number of filled grains per panicle ,Spikelet’s fertility , Spikelet’s fertility % ,weight of 1000 grains (g) ,grain yield per plant in grams (g) and harvest index % (HI).
