Introduction:The family is considered the basic nucleus of society, in which the child enjoys an abundance of care, love and safety so that he can rely on himself and set out on the paths of life, and families are distinguished in the ways they raise the child, and in the methods of their treatment of him, and with this distinction we notice the participation of different families in the same society In the general framework that unites us and forms the methods of socialization. Also, the family is the first pillar and the main source from which children seek integrity and treatment, or from which the juice of curvature, corruption and loss is benefited, and it is the basis on which the correct or wrong upbringing of children is based.
Our children deserve to teach them all the tasks, skills and competencies that enable them to interact positively and actively in various contexts and situations of life, and it can be said here that the mini-family is the first school of human relations in which the first lessons of love, hate, justice and injustice are learned. The school is from an effort to establish good human relations among its members, to the extent that the human personality gains experience in dealing with others. Therefore, parents must learn the art of parenting as a social function and are required to perform it as fully as possible. Early childhood years are important in the child’s upbringing and in his life.
Childhood is seen as the most important progressive stage in which the foundations of the human personality are laid, and in which the personality of the individual is formed in its various dimensions and components during early childhood, and the most important general features of this personality are determined, and the childhood stage is The stage of innocence and purity and the free and spontaneous expression of all experiences and feelings.
The issue of speech disorders between young and old is considered one of the important problems at the present time and it occurs mostly in young people as a result of errors in taking out the sounds of speech letters from their exits and not forming them correctly. As a result of deletion, substitution and distortion, some speech disorders may occur in individuals as a result of a speech defect such as a cleft throat, and some adults may occur as a result of an injury to the central nervous system.
This may lead to speech production with difficulty or trouble with the interference of sounds and its clarity as in the case of speech age. Talking about speech and speech disorders requires identifying their causes and the factors affecting them and leading to them, because this is based on the origin of the problem, and an examination of its implications, and psychological-emotional factors such as the individual’s self-concept and appreciation of it occupy the most important factors that lead to the occurrence of these disorders, as well as the extent of his adequacy in communication skills. And verbal and non-verbal communication, differentiation of family treatment methods, on the part of one or both parents, and speech phobia.
In view of the existence of a close relationship between parental treatment methods and speech and speech disorders, the researcher sought to study this problem.
Problem of the study:
The problem of the study can be formulated in the following questions:
1) Is there a statistically significant inverse relationship between the degree of positive parenting styles and speech disorders?
2) Is there a statistically significant correlation between the degree of negative parenting styles and speech disorders?
3) Is it possible to predict speech and speech disorders through positive parenting methods in pre-school children? 4) Can speech and speech disorders be predicted through negative parental treatment methods among pre-school children?
Objectives of the study:
The study aims to:
1- Identify the relationship between the degree of parental treatment styles and speech and speech disorders.
2- Recognizing the possibility of predicting speech and speech disorders through positive and negative parenting methods for pre-school children.
The importance of the study:
It deals with the direct correlation between parental treatment styles and speech and speech disorders, which confirms the importance of the study.
The importance of the study is divided into:
A: In theory:
1) Defining the concept of parental treatment methods.
2) Defining the concept of speech and speech disorders.
3) Knowing the relationship between important variables. Among the most important terms in psychology are: Parental treatment styles and speech and speech disorders.
4) Defining the importance of studying parental treatment methods that have a great impact on the behavior of individuals, as it serves as a barrier that protects a person from falling into the temptations of life.
B: Secondly:
1) The importance of the stage covered by the study, which is the early childhood stage.
2) The results of the study may lead to drawing attention to the methods of parental treatment and speech and speech disorders among kindergarten children.
3) To benefit from the results of the study in knowing the extent of the influence of parenting methods on the perception of kindergarten children of speech and speech.
Hypotheses of the study:
1) There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between the degree of positive parenting styles and speech and speech disorders.
2) There is a statistically significant correlation between the degree of negative parenting styles and speech disorders.
3) Speech and speech disorders can be predicted through positive parenting methods in pre-school children.
4) Speech and speech disorders can be predicted through negative parental treatment methods for
The limits of the study:
The present study is determined by the following parameters:
1- Methodological determinants, including:
A. Study Methodology
A comparative correlative approach was used. To suit the size of the study sample, in order to check the study hypotheses.
B - Sample of the study:
The basic sample of the study consisted of (100) children in kindergarten and their mothers in some kindergarten in Beni Suef. The ages of the children ranged between (5-6) years, with an average age of (5.95) years, and a standard deviation of (0.97).
C. Study Tools:
They are:
1) Parental Treatment Scale (Prepared by: The Researcher).
2) Speech and Speech Disorders Scale (Preparation: The Researcher).
D- Statistical Methods Used in the Study
1. T test.
2. Factor analysis.
3. Pearson correlation coefficient.
Through the statistical software package known as SPSS.
2. Spatial determinants:
The current study tools were applied in Beni Suef..
3- Time Limits:
The current study tools were applied in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Results of the study:
The results of the present study can be summarized in the following specific points:
1) There is a statistically significant inverse relationship at the level of significance (0.01) between the degree of positive parental treatment methods and speech disorders.
2) There is a statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (0.01) between the degree of negative parental treatment methods and speech and speech disorders.
3) Speech and speech disorders can be predicted through positive parenting methods in pre-school children.
4) Speech and language disorders can be predicted through negative parental treatment methods in pre-school children.
