Abstract

Morbidly adherent placenta(MAP) describes a spectrum of disorders
including adherence of all or part of placenta to uterine wall.As the incidence of cesarean deliveries has increased, placenta accreta also has increased; It is an important cause of maternal and fetal/neonatal morbidity and mortality . Also, Placenta previa and other uterine surgeries are important risk factors for placenta accreta. In patients at risk for MAP, obstetric ultrasonography performed by an experienced provider should be obtained . Ultrasound (US) is the predominant modality used to image the
placenta using different imaging approaches .Preoperative ultrasound
diagnosis of placenta accrete makes it possible to make appropriate preparations in order to reduce maternal morbidity.
