Abstract This retrospective study was planned to evaluate arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation of tibial plateau fracture Schatzker type (II, III) using 2 cancellous screws with bone grafting after one year of surgery. This study included 20 patients. The age of these patients ranged from 21- 45 years old, with (60%) male and (40%) female. (45%) had fractures of the right side and (55%) had fractures of the left side. (30%) Schatzker type II and (70%) type III. (40%) of patients had normal weight, (35%) had over weight and (25%) were obese. These patients were classified according to mod ghe of trauma into (50%) RTA, (40%) falling down and (10%) falling from height (FFH). Cases were evaluated according to Rasmussen clinical score. 12 patients (60%) gave excellent outcome; 6 patients (20%) were good, and 2 patients (10 %) were fair. They were also evaluated according to Rasmussen radiological criteria and 8 patients were excellent (40%) 10 patients were good (50%) 2 patients were fair (10%). Some Patients suffered from complications as arthritis which happened in 2 patients (10%) and 1 patient suffered from flexion deformity (5%) and 17 patients had no complications which presented 85%. |
