Abstract
Summary
Our study showed significant association between accommodation and intraocular pressure in different refractive specially in both Myopes and Emmetropes. intraocular pressure reduced in both Emmetropes and Myopes.
We found that intra ocular pressure reduced after accommodation in low , intermediate myopic degrees as measured with both Air-puff tonometry and applanation tonometry ,reduced in emmetropes by applanation tonometry only but increased in high myopes .
It is recommended that all clinical personnel should be aware of this knowledge and intraocular pressure measurement must be included in practice along with the subjective refraction of all patients especially myopic patients .
