Abstract

Thermoluminescence dosimetry ( TLD ) has become a reliable and promising method used in radiation measurements, which being important as a protective indicatiors to of individuals ( patients and radiation workers ) against the harmful effects of excessive exposure to ionizing radiation. Also, TL-detectors help to ensure that exposure is kept below prescribed limits as low as reasobnably achievable.
Nanoposphors materials have been received considerable attention over the last few years due to their attractive positive results including better radiation resistance, wide linearity response, lowe fading property and ability of detecting varies types of radiation of wide energy range. In the last few years, orthophosphates have found increasing interest due to their potential dosimetric applications in the field of scintillators, solid-state lighting and TLD.
