summary of Study

First: the Problem of the study :-
Suicidal thoughts are the way that university youth may turn to get rid of the life pressures which caused by the impotence and despair which they experienced it , this is confirmed by scientists, who they believe that a person leads to his belief that death is shorter to get rid of life’s problems.
Considering that trauma based social work is a model used with people who have a history of traumatic life events such as disability, despair, illness, sudden death and intimate partner violence, so it is one of the most appropriate models used to reduce suicidal tendencies and thoughts.
This study is one of the descriptive studies, which aims to describe and analyze the requirements for practicing social work based on trauma and reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth by collecting information, then analyzing it, Result extraction , and identifying the obstacles that limit the use of social service based on trauma and reducing suicidal thoughts among University youth students, and suggestions for that, then arriving to a proposed vision for activating the practice of trauma based social work to reduce suicidal thoughts among university youth.
Second, the importance of the study
1- The many problems which facing youth that impede the process of adaptation and social adjustment for them and that lead them to suicide.
2- Increasing number of young suicide bombers in Egypt.
3- The importance of the role of trauma based social work practice in reducing suicidal thoughts.
4- This study may contribute to improving the methods of dealing with residential institutions, which in turn reduces suicidal thoughts among university youth.
5- Dealing with a phenomenon that imposes itself on society, namely the phenomenon of suicide.
6- few of studies and research - within the limits of the researcher’s knowledge - that talking about trauma based social work practice and its relationship to reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth.
Third: the study Objectives
The study seeks to achieve a main target : Determining the requirements of trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth.
The sub-goals:
1- Determining the cognitive requirements necessary for practicing trauma based social work and reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth.
2- Determining the skill requirements necessary for practicing trauma bassed social work and reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth.
3- Determining the value requirements necessary for trauma based social work practice based on reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth
4- Identifying the obstacles that limit of the use of trauma bassed social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts among university youth.
5- Determining proposals to improve trauma based social work practice to reduce suicidal thoughts among university youth.
6- Reaching a proposed vision to activate the trauma based social work practice to reduce suicidal thoughts among university youth.
Fourth: the study Questions
The questions of this study were represented in the following questions: The study seeks to answer the main question, which is “Determining the requirements of trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth: the sub-questions :
1- What are the necessary cognitive requirements for trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth ?
2- What are the skill requirements for trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth?
3- What are the value requirements for trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth ?.
4- What are the obstacles that limit the use of trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth ?
5- What are the suggestions for improving trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university youth ?
6- Reaching to a proposed vision to activate trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts in university Youth ?
Fifth :the Concepts of the study:
The study contains basic concepts:
1- Requirements.
2- Trauma-based social work
3- Suicidal thoughts.
4- University youth.
Sixth: methodological procedures of the study :-
1- The Type of study: descriptive and analytical study
2- Used methods for the study : the researcher used the social survey method, which is one of the main methods which used in descriptive research
3- Study tools: In this study, the researcher relied on a questionnaire for social workers who working in the field of youth care at Assiut University.
4- Fields of the study:
A. The human field : The human field in this study consists of a comprehensive inventory of (53) social workers who working in the field of youth care at Assiut University.
B. Spatial field: This study was applied at Assiut University.
C. Time field: This field study was conducted from (1/9/2021) to (1/11/2021) The current data from the study is determined at two months since the start of the table.
Seventh: Tools of statistical analysis:
1- Iterations
2- Percentages
3- Arithmetic mean
4- Calculating the weighted average
5- Calculate the weighted average
6- Calculation of relative strength
7- Stability coefficient (Pearson)
8- Correlation coefficient (Ka^)
Eighth: The general results of the study
1- The results of the study showed that there are a cognitive requirements for the social workers to trauma based social work practice, which the total relative strength reached by (87.23%), which is a high percentage.
2- The results of the study showed that there are skill requirements for social workers to trauma based social work practice where the total relative strength reached by (86.91%), which is a high percentage.
3- The results of the study showed the existence of value requirements for social workers to trauma based social work practice where the total relative strength reached by (87.4%), which is a high percentage.
4- The results of the study showed that there are obstacles to trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts due to social workers, where the relative strength reached by (74.72%), which is an average percentage.
5- The results of the study showed that there are obstacles to practicing social work trauma based social work practice based on trauma and reducing suicidal thoughts due to university youth, where the relative strength reached (82.49%), which is a high percentage.
6- The results of the study showed that there are obstacles to trauma based social work practice and reducing the ideas of society, where the relative strength reached by (82.8%), which is a high percentage.
7- The results of the current study found that there are a set of proposals necessary for practicing trauma based social work practice and reducing suicidal thoughts of social workers, where the relative strength reached by (91.13%), which is a high percentage.
8- The results of the current study found that there is a proposals necessary to trauma based social work practice and reduce suicidal thoughts of university youth, where the relative strength reached by (92.07%), which is a very high percentage.
9- The results of the current study found that there is a set of suggestions necessary to trauma based social work practice and reduce suicidal thoughts returning to society, where the relative strength reached by (80.25%), which is an average percentage.
10- The study found a proposed conception from the perspective of social case work to activate trauma based social work practice to reduce suicidal thoughts in university youth
