Abstract
Variety of shrimp species were found at Kuwait waters, where the two main species were identified as: 1. Green tiger prawn (Penaeus semisulcatus)which is commonly found in the Red Sea and the Gulf. It has a pale brown body which sometimes shows a reddish tint. It is one of the most important species in Kuwaiti and Gulf waters. It is highly demanded by the global market. 2. Jinga shrimp (Metapenaeus affinis). Its color tends to pink. it’sthe 2nd important species and highly demanded especially in local market.
