Abstract Many heavy metals are changing the properties of water on the last years. These metals caused many diseases and threatens environment and human life Nickel ions exist in the environment by small concentrations; however, a high concentration of Ni (II) has a negative effect on the human due to its toxicity. It has a lot of industrial and technological applications such as batteries, corrosion resistance and making alloys such as stainless steel. Increasing the industrial demands and growing human population leads to increase the nickel ions as waste by-products. Nickel ions cause fatal diseases such as lung cancer, dermatitis and allergic. The adsorption of nickel ions from waste water or drink water using nanocomposites and nanofibers has more attraction due to their characteristic properties such as large surface area, small size and high porosity. |
